Chinese New Year 2011

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is a huge event for London's Chinatown and MediaCo again provided innovative and effective event branding for the London Chinese Association (LCA) who organise this spectacular chinese new year event.

The two day event is held in the areas surrounding Chinatown from Leicester Square to Trafalgar Square where larger of two stages draws a large crowd who are entertained with festivities such as the very loud fire cracker display and traditional Chinese dancing.  There are also a great selection of food stalls and traditional acts such as the Chinese Lion dance in and around China Town, bringing a true sense of celebration to central London.

Chinese Branding, Chinese New Year Decorations
MediaCo provided event branding and installation across the site including stage dressing and backdrops, also working on some new items such as the way-finding toblerones and 'great wall of China crowd barrier covers'. Changes to the stage to incorporate an LED sign meant the two scaffold towers needed some super large-format dressing in the form of two PVC mesh banners.

The way-finding toblerones were a great achievement as they gave visitors the timings of the entertainment as well as clear signage and a map to plan their day and everyone loved the use of the barrier covers to do something creative and fun.

Chinese New Year Celebrations, Top Marks Chinese New Year
This high attendance event is a great opportunity for sponsors and MediaCo worked with the LCA to represent all the sponsors perfectly on the diverse branding across the central London site.
