100 Years of Old Trafford

The frieze ‘Old Trafford – 100 Years in the making’ depicts the stadiums development from 1910 to the present day, graduating from a black and white image to full colour.
Measuring 40m by 15m this stunning graphic adorns the East Stand frontage and is part of the year long celebrations to commemorate the 76,000 seater stadium’s 100th anniversary.
Printed at MediaCo’s own production facility in Manchester the image is printed onto Clearview, a material which allows light to flood through whilst still retaining the integrity of the image from the outside. This allows the glass front of the stadium to be used to full visual effect whilst minimising disruption to the offices inside.
MediaCo’s Technical Director Vincent Randall says ‘This is the 5th execution of its type at Old Trafford and took us 6 days to print and install. It has gained National and International coverage so it was crucial that the end result was a perfect representation of the image.’
