Large Format Printing Is Still Useful In The Digital Age

Taking on a new client that needs marketing can be quite a learning curve; they will have many demands, some of which you may not have much experience in fulfilling. In this instance it is important to keep abreast of all the latest developments that your suppliers - suppliers that you may have built up a strong relationship with over time - have to offer. This way you can come to the new client filled with new ideas and ways in which you can help to take their business and brand image forward. There are simply so many exciting options that are out there in the market that it can be a little challenging to work out a clear and effective strategy to move the campaign forward. It may be that you are loath to go with the tried and tested, you only want the very best; the most cutting edge for your client. The issue here is that a lot of these new and 'improved' methods don't have the weight of history behind them. This means that they don't necessarily have a proven track record and they are 'dining out' on the fact they are new and cutting edge, rather than whether they actually work or not.

The best tactic to approach here is to use a mixture of both, so a blend of the old and trustworthy and the new and risky. One tried and tested method of advertising is on a building, or large format posters, that you see on the side of buildings or along main roads. These are of course hardly anything new, but then surely it's about what you put on them that makes them new and helps them to stand out from the crowd? Simply by adding an amazingly evocative piece of artwork to a blank building will quickly reinvigorate it and bring it to life. So, the large format printing method is extremely effective, it makes sense that this is the way that you want to advertise your event or new product launch. The key thing is here is whether the medium you are using is appropriate to your target demographi; if you wanted to promote a new band playing at a local venue, you could use large format posters nearby and maybe send out flyers to homes in the local area.

The use of any form of print collateral is now considered debatable to some companies, but the one certainty that you get with the large format printing is that it will not go unnoticed. By its very nature, large format printing is designed to be noticed. It still needs a creative spark to bring it to life, but you are always one third of the way there with large format printing. So, the next time you have a campaign to plan, do not disregard the use of large format printing outright, but instead carefully consider if this kind of print collateral can do a job for you or for your client's campaign.
